Each preset is a net estimate for a 85 kg body — net meaning above what you'd burn sitting still, so it's the calories that actually count toward the deficit. The formula is (MET − 1) × 3.5 × kg ÷ 200 kcal per minute. Change your weight with the gear icon at the top and every preset re-scales.
Two honest caveats. The 7,700 kcal-per-kilo rule is a textbook average — real loss runs slower than it predicts, because your body quietly burns less as you get lighter. And "no food after 7pm" burns nothing; it's intake you skipped. Both still move the same deficit, which is why they sit in the same counter.
Treat the bar as a scoreboard for showing up, not a lab measurement. If the scale disagrees with it, trust the scale.
